McCullough Leaves FSU Game With Injury

Syracuse freshman forward Chris McCullough suffers injury, leaves first half of game against Florida State.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse freshman forward Chris McCullough received a pass in transition from Michael Gbinije and landed awkwardly. He crashed to the Carrier Dome floor right away. After hitting the deck, he writhed in pain. Syracuse trainers immediately ran onto the floor to tend to the injured player. (Picture above shows the moment of injury)

After a few minutes, McCullough got up with the help of Syracuse medical staff, but had a very difficult time walking off the floor. Walk-on Doyin Akintobi-Adeyeye had to go help McCullough limp into the locker room.

McCullough appeared unable to put any pressure on his right leg/knee. This occurred at the 11:51 mark of the first half and he did not return to the game. There has been no official word as to the nature or extend of McCullough's injury. CuseNation.com will provide an update as soon as more information is available.

UPDATE: Jim Boeheim said after the game that he has no update on McCullough but the team hopes to know more on Monday.
