Chandler Jones is no longer the only Jones brother without a championship.
His brother Jon "Bones" Jones is a UFC Champion while his other brother, Art Jones, won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens. Entering Sunday's Super Bowl, Chandler was the only one of the three talented athletes not claim a title in his respective sport.
"There's a bit of competitive nature in that. Both of my brothers are champions, and I'm not," Jones said during the week leading up to the big game.
With a 28-24 dramatic New England Patriots victory, Chandler no longer has that stigma. He joins his brothers having reached the pinnacle of his sport.
Jones had three tackles, including one sack of Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, in the game. He is the latest former Syracuse star to win the Super Bowl, joining a host of others. In fact, 33 former Orange players have won the Super Bowl.
Jones played for Syracuse from 2009 through 2011. He recorded 147 tackles, 10 sacks, five fumble recoveries and one interception during his collegiate career. He was drafted by the Patriots in the first round (21st overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.
