Ted Taylor Signs With Syracuse

The Orange wrap up their 2015 class with JUCO linebacker.

Dodge City (Kan.) Community College linebacker Ted Taylor has signed with Syracuse, a source informed CuseNation.com. Taylor later confirmed the news via text message.

Taylor was offered by the Orange over the weekend, but said he wanted to visit before making a decision. Those plans changed on Tuesday as he decided to sign his letter of intent and officially become part of Syracuse’s 2015 class.

The issue may have been related to confirming that his credits would transfer from the junior college to Syracuse, something that can be quite complicated depending on the institution. If that was all cleared up, it would make sense that is what prompted the decision.

Taylor becomes the 28th and final member of Syracuse’s 2015 class, with Brandon Ginnetti deferring enrollment until January 2016. He also had an offer from Kansas.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Taylor will have three years to play two. He is expected to compete for playing time at the SAM linebacker position this season.
