Just this week, Niles (Ill.) Notre Dame junior quarterback Tyler Tsagalis added his first offer from Western Illinois. He's also expected to see Syracuse, Bowling Green, Northern Iowa and Drake stop through his school this week.
"The fact that schools are interested in me and think that I can play football for them is exciting, they are all great," Tsagalis said.
For the 6-3, 205-pound signal caller, the interest with Syracuse was initiated by an introductory email.
"I sent one of the coaches an email about two weeks ago and he got back to me that same day," Tsagalis said. "He sent my info over to the quarterbacks coach and the next week my coach told me that Syracuse had called and they were coming in."
There are several reasons why Syracuse is an attractive option for Tsgagalis.
"It's a great school for both academics and athletics, which is something I look for in a school. Being on the east coach is nice, and being in the ACC makes it that much better," Tsagalis said.
And in this offseason, Tsagalis has several more goals in mind for this offseason.
"I have the Elite 11 camp this weekend and I would like to have a good showing there," Tsagalis said. "Also just finishing the off season strong and continuing to get better."
