After the 2015 NFL Draft ended without a single Syracuse player being selected, Orange players were looking to sign undrafted free agent deals. Linebacker Dyshawn Davis found his free agency home, signing with Washington per his Instagram page.
Davis was a multi-year starter for Scott Shafer's defensive units. His athleticism and speed made him a disruptive playmaker. Davis is a skilled blitzed with underrated hitting power. Those skills could translate into an edge rusher from the outside backer spot and also prove valuable on special teams.
Davis finished sixth in Syracuse's all-time tackles for loss list with 37.5.
