Syracuse to host St. Bonaventure

The Syracuse basketball Orange will renew a historical rivalry this season when they host St. Bonaventure this season.

According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports and other media reports, Syracuse will host in-state St. Bonaventure on November 17th in the upcoming 2015-16 season. This will be the first matchup of the two teams since 2009. The Orange lead the all-time series 23-3.

The Bonnies are another non-conference team added to the schedule that features several big name opponents. Syracuse will play Georgetown for the first time since leaving the Big East in the Verizon Center. That date has not yet been released.

Syracuse will also play St. John's at Madison Square Garden on December 13th and play Wisconsin at December 2nd in the Carrier Dome as part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

Syracuse also travels to the Bahamas from November 25th through the 27th. Other teams participating in the event include Connecticut, Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan, Gonzaga, Washington and Charlotte.

The ACC opponents are known, though the order and dates are not. Syracuse plays Boston College, Florida State, North Carolina and Pittsburgh both home and away. The Orange host Clemson, Georgia Tech, NC State, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech.

The teams Syracuse plays only on the road are Duke, Miami, Wake Forest, Virginia and Louisville.
