Syracuse Lands DB Harper

Syracuse adds another commitment in defensive back/athlete Will Harper.

Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek safety Will Harper committed to Syracuse on Friday during his unofficial visit. The 6-foot-0 athlete spent two days at Syracuse after arriving on Thursday, and saw what he needed in order to feel comfortable with the Orange.

Syracuse’s 2016 commitment list now sits at five after Rex Culpepper pulled the trigger on Tuesday.

Syracuse likes Harper as a safety/linebacker/nickel corner versatile athlete. His future is likely in the “Okie” package. His versatility will allow the Orange to use different looks and utilize creative coverage/blitz schemes.
