Battle Switches AAU Squads

Top 2016 Syracuse target has switched his AAU team. Details inside.

On Thursday, confirmed that Tyus Battle has switched AAU teams and did not travel to North Augusta (GA) for Peach Jam. This is the third major switch for Battle in the last few months. He recently decommitted from Michigan, announced he would switch High Schools and now AAU teams.

The 5-star guard will play for New Heights next weekend at the UAA Finals in Atlanta. The event will take place on July 15-18. New Heights went 8-4 during the UA season, and are based out of New York City.

After decommitting from Michigan, Tyus and his family took an official visit to Syracuse. Duke and Louisville have reportedly backed off Battle, which leaves Michigan and Syracuse. The New Jersey native told Evan Daniels he “really likes Syracuse,” and that his recruitment is “wide open.”
