Syracuse Elite Camp Set for Saturday

Syracuse basketball elite camp is set for Saturday. CuseNation.com has players who will and won't attend inside.

The list of prospects visiting Syracuse this weekend goes hand-in-hand with the name of the camp: Elite.

CuseNation.com has learned that 2016 commit Matthew Moyer will attend the elite camp. Moyer’s presence will be felt in more than one way. It’s known that Matthew has been recruiting for Syracuse on social media, but face-to-face recruiting pitches could be crucial for the future classes.

Class of 2017 4-star PG Quade Green expects to attend this weekend. Syracuse offered the Philadelphia native back in June.

Class of 2017 4-star SF Jordan Tucker is expected to make his way to central New York this weekend. Tucker has high interest in the Orange and has said Syracuse has made him a priority. He told CuseNation.com on Friday he was still undecided.

The newest names added to the list are 2017 SF Andre Rafus and 2018 PF Naz Reid. This is the first we’re hearing of SU’s interest in Rafus, however he does hold 15+ D-1 offers. He’s from Baltimore (MD); a place in which Syracuse has had great success. Naz Reid, who holds a Syracuse offer, is a Roselle Catholic (NJ) product. Obviously, SU has very strong ties to New Jersey, especially Roselle Catholic.

Names to watch: Nick Richards and Mohamed Bamba. In this week’s podcast, Ryan Nemcek and I talked about how Syracuse didn’t have either attending. In a time when SU is lacking big-man depth, one would think getting either Richards or Bamba on campus would be a priority.

A pair of 2018 guards out of Skyline High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Brandon Wade and Jack Ammerman, will also be attending.

Class of 2018 guard Cam Reddish said he will not be there due to injury.

Two 2017 5-stars, Trevon Duval and Hamidou Diallo will not attend, sources informed CuseNation.com.
