Green Excited About Elite Camp

Class of 2017 4-star point guard Quade Green discusses his thoughts on Syracuse prior to attending their elite camp on Saturday.

With the biggest offseason recruiting weekend coming up for Syracuse basketball with their elite camp, one of the biggest names in attendance will be 2017 4-star point guard Quade Green. spoke with Green prior to his participation in the camp, which takes place in Saturday. When asked how often the coaching staff is in contact, he replied “Coach Hop and Coach Gerry text and call me all the time.” His primary recruiter, Gerry McNamara, extended a scholarship offer back in June.

Green will cut his list of schools “soon,” with Syracuse in great position. He expects the Orange to make the cut.

Aside from visiting Syracuse this weekend, he also wants to visit for a game this season. When asked about a potential visit, he replied “Oh yes, I have to. It’s the ‘Cusebaby! I’ve heard it’s a crazy atmosphere, so yes I would. Maybe even for a football game, too.”

Despite many Syracuse fans never seeing Green play, he described himself as a “good PG that can score and get my teammates involved.”

Quade is very close friends with another 2017 target, Trevon Duval. The two play on the same AAU team in the Under Armour circuit, WE R1.

Other schools that Green is considering include: Arizona State, Michigan State, Maryland, Temple, Villanova, St. Josephs, Missouri, St. John’s, Miami, among others.
