Eric Burrell is one of the top safeties in the 2016 class. He released his top five Sunday evening, and Syracuse was on his list. Nebraska, Duke, Wisconsin and Boston College were the other four schools on his list.
Burrell told CuseNation.com in July that Syracuse would "definitely" get one of his five official visits, but it has not yet been scheduled. He has already taken one to Nebraska and said it went very well.
Burrell, a three-star safety prospect out of Maryland, was impressed with the Orange during an unofficial this summer. He says he has a strong relationship with the coaching staff. He is one of Syracuse's top remaining targets in the 2016 class.
