Syracuse freshman running back Jordan Fredericks is the new starting running back

Syracuse freshman running back Jordan Fredericks has moved to the top of the depth chart after leading the team in rushing through five games.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse true freshman running back Jordan Fredericks has jumped to the top of the depth chart as the Orange look to bounce back on the road against the Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday. Fredericks leads the team in rushing with 236 yards and two touchdowns.

Full depth chart can be found at the link at the bottom of the page.

Fredericks rushing yards are more than the other two primary ball carriers DeVante McFarlane (70) and George Morris (158) combined. Neither McFarlane or Morris have a rushing touchdown this season.

Fredericks has proven to be Syracuse's more electric running back, running with speed, quickness, burst, elusiveness and power. He became the first true freshman running back to run for 100-yards in the season opener in program history.

Syracuse and Virginia kick off at 3:30pm on Saturday.
