Full recap of the 2015 ACC Men's Basketball Media Day

Here's a full recap of the 2015 ACC Media Day. See where Syracuse was ranked, which players received preseason honors & some memorable quotes.

Unlike last year, Syracuse wasn't the focus of ACC Media Day (which is a good thing). With the recent allegations going on at Louisville, and the academic scandal at North Carolina, the Orange answered basketball questions this year. There wasn't an NCAA investigation hanging over their heads, and as Trevor Cooney said today, "It feels good to control our own destiny."

Although there weren't any Syracuse players acknowledged in the preseason All-ACC teams, the Orange are destined to get back on track this season. They're a young, athletic and hungry team that is ready to showcase what they're all about. They will begin their exhibition season on Monday vs. Le Moyne at the Carrier Dome. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

The biggest suprise of the day was when someone in the media picked the Orange to win the ACC regular season title. Overall, however, Syracuse was picked to finish ninth, which is much more accurate.

"That was a media poll?" Jim Boeheim asked after hearing Syracuse received one first-place vote, "We need to question the credentials of whoever that person is. They shouldn't be voting in the poll."

North Carolina was picked to win the ACC, as the Tar Heels received 60-of-89 first-place votes. Virginia received the second-most first-place votes with 18.

The Complete 2015-16 Preseason Poll (first-place votes in parentheis)

1. North Carolina (60)

2. Virginia (18)

3. Duke (8)

4. Notre Dame (1)
