Syracuse has been recruiting Atlanta (Ga.) Carver defensive end Jacoby Hill for some time. Hill's interest in the Orange was always there as well, but he had not been extended a scholarship offer. That changed on Tuesday, when Syracuse pulled the trigger and offered the 6-foot-3.5 defensive lineman.
Hill informed CuseNation of the news, shortly before tweeting it out himself.
Hill is currently committed to Tulane, but that has not stopped him from setting up an official date with Syracuse. He says he will take that trip January 15th through the 17th. Other schools that are recruiting him include California, Memphis, NC State and others.
"I'm looking to see if it's a place I would feel like home," Hill said. "(To see) a great vibe from the d-line coach (Tim Daoust) and a vibe from the players on the team."
Syracuse defensive backs coach Fred Reed is his primary recruiter and Hill says they have a good relationship.
