Kaufman to Coach Linebackers, Special Teams

Syracuse has another member of the new coaching staff in place.

Accoring to Scout's Bill Greene, the new Syracuse coaching staff under Dino Babers will include another member of Babers' Bowling Green staff. Tom Kaufman will serve as linebackers coach and special teams coordinator with the Orange.

Kaufman was also with Babers at Eastern Illinois, where he coached linebackers. He coached defensive line at Bowling Green.

Prior to that, Kaufman was a quality control coach at Texas and Kansas after spending one season as a graduate assistant at Mississippi State.

Kaufman will recruit Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania for Syracuse.

He joins Sean Lewis (co-offensive coordinator), Mike Lynch (co-offensive coordinator), Andrew Sowder (outside receivers) and Nick Monroe (secondary) as coaches to join Babers' staff confirmed by CuseNation.com.
