One of the commits Syracuse fans worried about losing when Scott Shafer was fired was three-star athlete Moe Neal. Neal is a dynamic playmaker with excellent vision and speed. The type of talent Syracuse needs to compete with the rest of the ACC.
Well Syracuse fans need not worry any longer. Neal tells CuseNation.com that his commitment was solidified and that he is 100% 'Cuse after meeting with Orange assistant Kim McCloud (pictured below) on Tuesday.
"It was good," Neal said. "(He) just told me a little bit about his background. I was asking him a few questions about academics and stuff."
It was the first in-person contact for Neal with a new member of the Orange staff. Neal and coach McCloud were able to bond a bit during the visit. So much so that Neal feels comfortable sticking with Syracuse as his home for the next four or so years.
"He seems like a great coach and a great guy," he said. "I feel like he can help me on and off the field."
Neal added he was told he could play a little wide receiver and running back in Dino Babers' offensive system. He is excited to start his college career.
Neal will take his official visit to Syracuse this coming weekend.
