The new Syracuse football staff has been hitting the recruiting trail hard over the last few days, including trying to solidify the status of their current commits. That includes defensive end Jamal Holloway out of Camden High in New Jersey. He has been speaking with linebacker/special teams coach Tom Kaufman, and has already started to develop a relationship.
"He said they're really excited to have me," Holloway said.
He added that he enjoyed the conversation, and based on how things have sounded thus far, his commitment is solid. During the coaching search, he did take an unofficial visit to Temple.
Kaufman had an in-home visit with Holloway on Thursday and an official visit is set for this coming weekend. Based on Holloway's reaction after the in-home, things seem to be quite solid with his commitment status.
