Federico Mussini, a 6-foot-1 freshman guard, leads St. John's with 14.0 points and 2.8 assists per game. Yankuba Sima, a 6-foot-11 center, leads the team in rebounding with 6.8 per game.

St. John's started the season 3-0 with victories over Wager, UMBC and Rutgers. The Red Storm then lost back-to-back games to Vanderbilt and Indiana, who were both ranked at the time. What most people remember so far this season from St. John's is their embarrassing 32-point loss to D-II St. Thomas Aquinas at the Carnesecca Arena on November 14.

Things to watch

1. Another scorerMichael Gbinije can only carry this team so far. At some point, the Orange will need another scorer to step up and give them consistent performances each night. Whether it's Malachi RichardsonTrevor Cooney or Tyler Lydon, Syracuse needs another consistent scorer.

2. Rotation: As we enter Mike Hopkins' third game as interim head coach, the rotation is something to keep an eye on. After SU's victory over Colgate, Hopkins stated lack of effort was the reasoning for Kaleb Joseph and Franklin Howard's lack of minutes. If the Orange can get an early lead, will Hop turn to the younger guards? Will Cooney and Gbinije each play 35+ minutes, again?

3. Free throws: In the last two games, SU's free throw shooting has improved. The Orange are shooting 79% (31-for-39) as a team. On Sunday, free throws could be an important facet in securing their eighth win of the season.
