Three talented players from Nathaniel Narbonne High in California are taking official visits to Syracuse the weekend of January 16th, one of them tells Scout. Three-star athletes DeVaughn Cooper and Sean Riley will join Cedric Byrd on campus to check out the Orange. Currently, only Cooper has an offer.
UPDATE: Riley was offered Thursday afternoon.
Byrd informed Scout of the news Wednesday evening, shortly after Cooper picked up an offer. Cooper and Byrd are being looked at as wide receivers while Riley is viewed as an athlete who could play receiver or running back.
As OttosGrove.com first reported, Riley was asked to greyshirt by Arizona, the school to which he and Cooper are currently committed. That has not sat well with Riley or the Narbonne staff. That could help the Orange pillage the school for multiple prospects.
Also of note, the offensive coordinator at Narbonne High is Brandon Manumaleuna who played for Syracuse head coach Dino Babers at Arizona.
Syracuse is also evaluating three other players at Narbonne High who are 2016 prospects. Details for our members HERE.
