On a day when Syracuse landed two commitments for their 2016 class, they lost a recruit as well. Three-star quarterback Lindsey Scott announced his decommitment on Twitter Sunday evening. Scott told Scout he will no longer be taking his official visit on the 29th.
Co-offensive coordinator Sean Lewis spent a good chunk of Friday with the Gatorade player of the year in Louisiana. Scott tweeted out a picture of the two of them and things seemed to be going well.
That made Scott's announcement on Sunday a surprise. It leaves Syracuse with just one incoming quarterback in Rex Culpepper. It would not surprising if the Orange looked around for other options at the position.
