Rich Scanlon and linebacker Jameel Dumas will be the focal points of the Syracuse defense. Dumas finished second on the team with 94 tackles while Scanlon added 58.

Scanlon will shift from outside to middle linebacker, filling a vacancy left by current Washington Redskin Clifton Smith.

"Clifton was a great linebacker," Scanlon said. "But I'm not trying to learn from anybody. I'm my own player, so I bring different things to the table than Clifton."

Who will be the third starting linebacker? More on the linebakers will be featured in this month's issue of The Juice.
