Syracuse has been in contact with former signee Moustapha Diagne

Syracuse is showing interest in Moustapha Diagne, a former class of 2015 signee.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse is showing interest in former class of 2015 signee Moustapha Diagne, according to his high school head coach Jason Hasson.

Hasson told that the Orange have been in contact and are pursuing Diagne as a class of 2017 prospect.

After an academic issue kept Moustapha from enrolling at Syracuse in the fall of 2015, he enrolled at Northwest Florida State College. He plans on spending next year at the school as well.

So far this season, Diagne is averaging 11.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. He's shooting 47.8% from the field and 73% from the free throw line. The Raiders are 20-3 overall, 6-1 in conference play on the season. 

NW Florida State is currently ranked No. 5 in the country.

OklahomaPittsburgh, Providence and Seton Hall are also showing interest in Diagne.
