Michigan Athlete 'Feels Great' About Syracuse

Michigan athlete Jairus Grissom is an intriguing prospect and was offered by Syracuse recently. He discusses that and an upcoming visit inside.

Deaborn Heights (Mich.) Robichaud athlete Jairus Grissom is an intriguing prospect with athleticism and versatility. He could play quarterback, defensive back or wide receiver at the next level. Syracuse extended an offer on Thursday, and it's one he's very excited about. They like him as a quarterback prospect.

"I feel great about Syracuse University," Grissom said. "That was the first school to send me a letter in my 9th grade year and they finally offered me. I'm highly interested in their school and will visit them February 27th."

Grissom is still getting to know the Orange program and coaches, but that is what the weekend of the 27th is for. He hopes to bond with the coaches and get a better feel for what Syracuse is all about.

"I am looking for getting to know all of the coaches," Grissom said. "And learning more about the education and school."

Grissom currently holds several offers, including from power five schools NC State and Wake Forest. Michigan State, Michigan and Minnesota have also expressed interest.

With his ability to run and throw, it's easy to see why Syracuse extended an early offer. You have to think the Babers offense would be an attractive option for any quarterback, so this is a recruitment to watch going forward.
