As reported yesterday by NJ.com, class of 2018 forward Louis King had left Pope John for undisclosed reasons, according to Jeremy Schneider.
Today, Schneider is reporting that King has enrolled at Hudson Catholic (NJ), but will sit out the remainder of the 2015-16 season.
King will team up with Syracuse target Jahvon Quinerly, who is an elite 2018 point guard.
Syracuse assistant Adrian Autry was scheduled to visit King last Friday but cancelled a day prior. Instead, assistant coaches Mike Hopkins and Gerry McNamara attended the National Prep School Invitational in Rhode Island to watch Matthew Moyer, Kalif Young and Hamidou Diallo.
King currently holds offers from Kansas, Seton Hall, Syracuse, St. John's, among others. According to Schneider, he was averaging 11.6 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game.
He spent his freshman year at Roselle Catholic before transferring to Pope John for his sophomore season. King is going on his third school in as many years.
Hudson Catholic is 14-3 on the season, 10-0 in HCIAL - Red division.
