Legacy Prospect Set for Syracuse Visit

Ethan Wiederkehr is a Syracuse legacy and will be visiting the Orange soon.

In the 2016 cycle, Syracuse lost out on a legacy offensive lineman prospect in Jack Wohlabaugh. In 2017, with a new staff at the helm, they are looking to reverse those fortunes by landing legacy two-way lineman Ethan Wiederkehr. Wiederkehr is set to visit the Orange on February 20th he and his father told CuseNation.com.

Ethan's father, Hans Wiederkehr, played offensive line for Syracuse in the 80's. He played on the same line with Doug Marrone and Bob Brotzki. He was also teammates with Don MacPherson and Tim Green.

In addition to Syracuse, Ethan Wiederkehr has offers from Wake Forest, Rutgers, Maryland, UConn, Temple and Northwestern. He is planning to visit Rutgers and Northwestern from that list this spring as well as check out the Virginia Cavaliers.

At 6-foot-6, 285 pounds, Wiederkehr plays offensive and defensive line for Shoreham-Wading River High School in Long Island. Syracuse likes him as an offensive lineman.

"I can't wait," Wiederkehr told CuseNation.com "I'm really just looking to meet the new coaches."

Keep an eye on Wiederkehr's recruitment as Syracuse makes him a big priority in 2017.
