Frank Isola of the New York Daily News is reporting the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics are in preliminary discussions that would involve former Syracuse forward Carmelo Anthony and former UCLA Bruin Kevin Love.
"The Daily News has learned that the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers have discussed a blockbuster trade centered around Kevin Love," Isola writes. "There were preliminary discusses about expanding the deal to include the Knicks and Anthony, who would have to waive his no-trade clause in order to facilitate a deal to the Cavs."
The Knicks would receive draft picks and players in return, Melo would head to Cleveland and Love would become a Celtic, according to Isola.
Phil Jackson told the media last week he is open to trades, however Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis were off limits.
The NBA trade deadline is Thursday.
