Rodney Hall is one of several quarterbacks with a Syracuse offer in the 2017 class. Hall is one of Syracuse's top targest at the position, however, and the Orange are working hard to develop a strong relationship with the dual threat quarterback.
Hall was one of 11 players from Cass Tech on the Orange campus over the holiday weekend, and he liked what he saw.
"The visit was great," Hall said. "I loved the Dome. We went around to the dorms. Those were great. The weight room was nice. The dome resembled an NFL facility to me."
While touring the facilities and the campus, one thing really stood out to Hall. The dorms that the football players live in were quite nice.
"The campus was amazing," Hall said. "The dorms aren't like any school I've seen. Looks like a regular house. It was great and not too far from the practice facility."
Hall also was able to spend time a lot of time with the Syracuse coaches. He spoke with head coach Dino Babers, offensive coordinator Sean Lewis and many of the other members of the staff.
"The coaches were great," Hall said. "They were the real deal. They talked to us as people and kept it real. We bonded. They reminded me much of my (current) coaches."
The trip left Hall with a very strong impression of Syracuse. He said the visit enhanced his interest, but he is not claiming any favorites yet.
"Syracuse was great," he said. "I'm definitely interested in the school. I"m still open minded to recruiting though."
Hall said he plans to come back in the spring or summer.
