Orange offer 2017 QB Tommy DeVito, planning visit in 'few weeks'

Orange offer DeVito, who will visit in a few weeks.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse extended an offer to class of 2017 quarterback Tommy DeVito today on an unofficial visit.

"The visit was awesome! I was not only impressed with the facilities, but coach Babers also. He was really awesome while talking to my dad and I. He really knew what he was talking about and I love his history with quarterbacks and how many points his offense's score," DeVito said. "There was nothing I didn't like. It was awesome."

DeVito told CuseNation.com he wants to have his mind made up on a college before summer begins, and the Orange made a great impression today.

"Again, I was very impressed with coach Babers. I am very excited, but it was also a limited visit as far as seeing everything. I am going to return in a couple weeks for a spring practice and get a tour of everything, top to bottom."

DeVito also said Syracuse is in his top 3-5 range, but wouldn't offer any specific order.

He was unable to attend the NC State-Syracuse game due to a previously committed wedding with his parents.

"I'm not sure which date I'll be back, but it will be in a few weeks."
