Visit Improves Pratt's Interest in Syracuse

Maryland wide receiver D.J. Pratt details unofficial visit to Syracuse.

A wide receiver with a combination of size and speed, D.J. Pratt visited Syracuse for the first time on Saturday. The Good Counsel wide receiver has a strong visit and remains high on the Orange.

"It was a pretty good visit," Pratt said. "Met and spoke with a few coaches throughout the day. Took a tour and watched the basketball game. My favorite part was probably touring the facitilies."

The look and feel of the facilities impressed Pratt, but mostly it was about seeing how the Orange players work day to day.

Pratt also spent time with some of the Syracuse coaches, which was a highlight from the trip.

"Coach Ferri and McCloud," he said. "We talked about how I would fit in the Syracuse system. I like both of them. They seem like great people."

The 6-foot-4 receiver indicated that an offer was not discussed. He is hoping to get one in the future. That may come should he camp over the summer, but he will be on the radar going forward.

Pratt spent the afternoon in the Carrier Dome watching the basketball team knock off NC State. It was an experience he will remember.

"It was a nice game," Pratt said. "I know the basketball team has always been elite, so the fans tend to be great there."

The talented wideout added that the visit overall improved his interest in Syracuse.

"I would say they stand well on my options for school," Pratt said.
