Jahmin Muse Calls Syracuse Visit 'Outstanding'

Three-star athlete Jahmin Muse recaps visit to Syracuse.

Three-star Elizabeth (N.J.) High athlete Jahmin Muse is an intriguing prospect from the Garden State. He is on Syracuse's radar as a defensive back, and he visited the school on Saturday.

"Well the visit was awesome," Muse said. "Matter of fact, outstanding. It all started off with the entrance. They had you walking the red carpet and a dozen people snapping photos. They have a great coach that's going to lead them to an ACC Title. The assistant coaches are cool. My recruiting coach (Vince Reynolds) is a cool dude, just because of the fact that he is from Jersey.

"But no, he's an awesome guy. The coaches loved my film. The defensive coordinator told me himself that he loved my film and he needs guys like me at safety. Then to top everything off, we went to the basketball game. It was about 27,000 people there. Just a wonderful experience."

Muse spoke with defensive backs coach Nick Monroe as well. His conversations with the staff were mainly about himself, his playing style and how he would fit into their system. Early playing time was also discussed.

Muse doesn't have an offer yet, but says he has high interest. Coach Reynolds not him it'll be a process and to stay patient. An offer could come down the line.

For now, Muse is settled on high mutual interest. In fact, Muse says Syracuse has been his favorite school since sixth grade. Both sides are expected to remain in touch, and the 6-foot-2 athlete says he will be back to campus both during the spring and over the summer.
