2017 CB Edwin Lopez "excited" after Syracuse visit

Class of 2017 CB Edwin Lopez excited after Syracuse visit.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- After a very busy day of recruiting for the Syracuse football program, CuseNation.com was able to catch up with 2017 cornerback Edwin Lopez.

Lopez, a Camden, New Jersey native, doesn't currently have an offer from Syracuse, he told Scout.

"They talked about an offer but didn't say too much," he said. "They said they're going to look at my film as a staff and go from there."

Edwin was able to talk with coach Ward throughout the visit, who he said was very informative regarding the university.

"He kept saying he loves my film and my game," the junior CB said.

The campus was impressive, too. "I liked the campus a lot. The scenery was amazing and the staff seemed very focused on getting the job done when it comes down to business."

Lopez had an opportunity to attend the basketball game where he witnessed the sea of orange firsthand.

"The fans there were crazy! They showed a lot of love and support. It was a beautiful sight."

"Syracuse is in my top 5, for sure," he said. "It was definietly a good visit."
