After meeting with the Syracuse coaching staff during a visit Saturday, Matt Bauer left them gushing after they took the time to show him around.
"They said I was their number one linebacker in the country right now," Bauer said. "You could really feel the love towards me and my teammates."
The class of 2018 linebacker liked the entire coaching staff now that he's gotten to meet them all and speak to them individually, including head coch Dino Babers.
"I liked how the head coach took time to talk to me personally and we had a great conversation that wasn't boring and scripted," Bauer said. "Coach Kaufman was great and never left us almost the whole time."
After the high praise, Syracuse has moved very high on the linebacker's list and he said he hopes to get an offer in the future.
"I put them towards the top of my list because not many other schools have taken the time to talk so much to me and my family," he said. "I feel very comfortable with the program as well."
Bauer said he recently got an offer from Vanderbilt and is currently making the switch to middle linebacker for the upcoming season.
