Three-star Copley (Ohio) High running back Weston Bridges is one of the top backs in the state of Ohio in the 2017 class. He is receiving a lot of interest from power five schools, and is starting to narrow his focus.
Bridges told Scout that he has trimmed his list to five schools. While the talented back has those schools on his mind right now, he added that his list is not final and is subject to change.
The schools that made the cut are, in no order, Indiana, Marshall, Purdue, Rutgers and Syracuse. Indiana and Syracuse have already received visits with the other three expected to host Bridges this spring.
Why did each make the cut?
Indiana: “It’s more than just football there. It’s a great fan based program who is up and coming of being a good football team. I loved everything about it.”
Syracuse: “It’s the same thing (as Indiana) but Syracuse really stands out because they love God down there. They don’t have anything on Sundays so the players or the coaches can go to church. Syracuse is going to be so good under the new staff.”
Marshall, Purdue, Rutgers: “For Rutgers, Purdue and Marshall, seems like a coaching staff that wants to win and change the programs around. So I can’t wait to visit all three of those schools, which is very soon.”
