Scout 300 CB Looking to Visit Syracuse This Summer

One of the top cornerbacks in the 2017 class says he will visit Syracuse over the summer and is in regular communication with the Orange.

Latavious Brini is a four-star Scout 300 cornerback with offers from the who's who of college football. Out of Mater Academy Charter High in Florida, Brini has the big boys in his home state, along with several others, fighting for his services.

One school up north that is also keeping their name in the mix is Syracuse. Brini was supposed to visit this week, but some issues booking a flight led to postponing the trip. Now, the 6-foot-2 corner says he will check out the Orange over the summer.

Despite not being able to visit this week, Brini still says he is high on the Orange.

"I like the Cuse," he said. "They're in the ACC and I heard they breed some good players."

Brini said he is being recruited by Nick Monroe at Syracuse. The two are in communication "often" as Monroe tries to pull off a recruiting upset and lure the elite talent to Central New York.

"I love how he acts," Brini said. "It's a great relationship."

Even with his impressive offer list, Brini says he has all schools that have offered on the same level. He says all school have a chance right now.

He hopes to trim his offer list down soon, and says Syracuse is expected to make the cut.

Brini is the 23rd best cornerback in the 2017 class and ranked the 247th best player overall.
