One of the top priorities for Syracuse along the offensive line is three-star guard Mike Miranda out of Ohio. He visited the Orange for the second time over the weekend in what was a more concentrated trip.
"We focused a lot more on the academic side of things," Miranda said. "I got to take a deeper look into the campus and facilities. I got to see practice."
Miranda spent time speaking with the Syracuse coaches. He says he has a great relationship with the staff and they spent time discussing football as well as other topics.
"The conversations were similar to last time," he said. "There were some more football related conversations, but most of the conversations were based on the family atmosphere they established."
Miranda was impressed by the tempo and speed of the practice he was able to observe. He said it was somewhat like his high school practices in terms of tempo. He sees himself fitting well into what Syracuse is trying to do with the program.
Overall, the three-star lineman says he loves a lot of things about Syracuse and remains high on the Orange.
"Syracuse is a place I could see myself going," he said. "I love the area, I love the facilities, I love the offense and I've built a relaly strong relationship with the coaches."
Miranda hopes to trim his list very soon and is looking to decide within the next two months. That decision will only come if he finds the right school, however. Otherwise, he will keep things open if he does not feel he is ready to decide.
