Four-Star OL Carter Warren Has "Great" Syracuse Visit

Carter Warren is one of the top offensive lineman in the 2017 class. He recaps a weekend visit to Syracuse inside.

Four-star Wayne (N.J.) Passaic County Tech offensive tackle Carter Warren has an offer list that many prospects would love to have. As the third best offensive tackle in New Jersey, Warren has a lot of buzz and hype surrounding his recruitment.

Already providing scholarship opportunities are Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse and several others.

The Orange are trying to establish relationships within the Garden State under their new coaching staff. Landing a prospect like Warren would certainly turn some heads within the state.

On Saturday, Warren was on the Syracuse campus checking out the program, the coaches and the spring game.

"The visit was great," he said. "I was able to meet a lot of the coaching staff and interacted with them pretty well. The best part was stepping into the (Carrier) Dome. The Dome was just mind blowing.

"It was just beautiful. I can just imagine it on game day."

Warren spent with with both defensive line coach Vince Reynolds and offensive line coach/co-offensive coordinator Mike Lynch. He said the two told him that Syracuse is the perfect place for him. Expect the Orange to continue to recruit Warren hard going forward.

The visit seemed to at least keep Syracuse in mind for Warren, who seems to have genuine interest. While watching the spring game, he noted a good schematic fit.

"Loved it," Warren said. "I think I would be a huge part to the line and would fit in pretty well."

At 6-foot-6, 283 pounds with a lot of athleticism, Warren will continue to attract suitors.
