Syracuse basketball continues to be aggressive in the 2017 class. They extended an offer to five-star Lonnie Walker on Friday, one of the top players in the Northeast and in the entire class. He is out of Reading Senior High School in Pennsylvania.
Walker is a top 25 player in 2017 and ranked as the number two small forward in the East region. He has the versatility to play shooting guard or small forward at SU. UConn also offered on Friday.
Other than the Orange and Huskies, Walker also holds offers from Villanova, Holy Cross, Indiana, Temple and West Virginia. The in-state Wildcats have been recruiting him hard for quite some time.
Syracuse is likely to have several scholarships available for the 2017 class and will be looking for immediate contributors. Walker would certainly fit that bill.
