Syracuse basketball has been linked to Columbia graduate transfer guard Grant Mullins for several weeks. Now, he is visiting the Orange today (Friday, April 15th) to see if they are the right fit for his final season, according to a source. The visit was first reported by Mike Waters of Syracuse.com.
CBS Sports has reported that Mullins will visit Cal on Monday.
Mullins is a 6-foot-4 guard who shot 43% from beyond the arc for Columbia last season. He averaged 13 points, over three assists and nearly four rebounds per game during the 2015-16 campaign.
Also according to Waters, Orange head coach Jim Boeheim has never taken a grad transfer during his career, which would make Mullins the first. It is a perfect situation this for next season given Syracuse's need for quality guard depth and only taking up a scholarship for one season.
