Syracuse Football Post-Spring Depth Chart Released

Check out Syracuse football's post-spring depth chart.

Syracuse football has released their post-spring depth chart. They did so on Friday in somewhat surprising fashion.

The most notable things from the chart are Zachary Mahoney listed as the backup quarterback ahead of Austin Wilson and Rex CulpepperMoe Neal as the third string running back, four wide receiver positions, Cameron MacPherson as the starting tight end, Jonathan Thomas snagging a starting linebacker spot and Kielan Whitner as the starting safety opposite Antwan Cordy

Backing up Parris Bennett at the weakside linebacker spot is last year's starter Marqez Hodge. Third string is Shyheim Cullen, who performed well this spring. Don't be surprised if Cullen gives Hodge a push for the back role this fall.

Likewise, Steven Clark should challenge Kayton Samuels for the starting nose tackle spot. Regardless, both will see a significant number of snaps.

Eric Dungey is predictably the starting quarterback with Dontae Strickland as the running back. The four starting receivers are Steve IshmaelAlvin CorneliusErvin Philips and Brisly Estime
