Mo Hasan had committed to Syracuse

Walk-on Quarterback Mo Hasan has committed to Syracuse.

Anthony "Mo" Hasan has committed to Syracuse as a 2016 preferred walk-on quarterback, he announced on Twitter.

"First of all, I like how it's great in academics and how it has the best communications program in the country," Hassan told "As far as football, I love the family atmosphere and feel like I can thrive in the offense that Coach Babers brings.

"Also two of my teammates from Dillard are coming to SU and I know that we can do a lot of winning with this great incoming class."

Hassan is a 6-foot-3 quarterback out of Dillard High in Florida, the same school as 2016 signees Kenneth Ruff and McKinley Williams. He had non-power five division one offers, but wanted to play in a major conference.

Therefore he did not sign on National Signing Day and decided to explore walk-on opportunities. USC, Minnesota, Rutgers and San Diego State were also after Hasan.

Hasan says he will receive a partial academic scholarship and will have the opportunity to earn a full athletic scholarship on the future.
