Syracuse continues to explore graduate transfer options to bolster their backcourt depth. Michigan transfer Spike Albrecht is visiting on Sunday. Now, there is another transfer target checking out the Orange this weekend.
Colorado State graduate transfer guard John Gillon is visiting Syracuse on Friday (April 29th) and staying on campus until Sunday, he tells CuseNation.com. The Orange are one of three schools on his final list, along with Oklahoma and Texas A&M, according to Gillon.
John Rothstein of CBS Sports was the first to report the news of Gillon's visit.
Gillon will visit the Sooners and Aggies next week with a decision that weekend or early the following week.
Gillon is a 6-foot-0 point guard who averaged nearly four assists per game last season for the Rams to go along with over 13 points. He also is a quality shooter from the outside.
The news of both visits comes on the heels of Columbia graduate transfer Grant Mullins picking Cal on Wednesday.
