Syracuse quarterback commit Tommy DeVito's stock has risen tremendously in recent weeks since his MVP performance at The Opening regional in New Jersey. It rose even more when he made the Elite 11 after a strong weekend at the finals.
With this much buzz and cache around his name currently, he is trying to use that help recruit some of Syracuse's top targets. That includes time he spent on Wednesday at a satellite camp at Paramus Catholic High School in the Garden State.
DeVito was recruiting three-star wide receiver Eddie Lewis at the camp. Both were in attendance despite neither participating. They spent a lot of time together chatting about Syracuse, playing together and much more.
"Basically talked about the offense and the school," DeVito said. "Basically a lot besides football that can help his future."
DeVito said Lewis told him he has one more visit planned before he trims his list to three. Those three schools will all receive official visits before a decision is made.
The future Syracuse quarterback believes his pitches are working, and that the Orange will be in that top three.
Lewis visited the Orange last week and left with an offer. He said he felt at home during the visit and put SU in his top five.
