Syracuse landed one of their top linebacker targets in the 2017 class in Florida product Keirston Johnson on July 2nd. While that news was certainly positive, there was one thing Johnson had not done. Visit the campus.
The fact that he was willing to commit speaks to his strong relationship with the staff, but a visit was still necessary. Now, Johnson has that trip scheduled and ready to go.
The 6-foot inside linebacker prospect will visit Syracuse on July 19th, he tells Scout. He says he and his family will be staying for a couple of days.
The visit will give Johnson a chance to check out his future home, bond with the coaching staff and the players, and get a better feel for the campus as a whole.
Johnson originally picked Syracuse over offers from Maryland, Marshall, Memphis, South Florida and several others.
