Connecticut up for grabs

With the University of Connecticut adding a Division I-A football program along with a new football stadium, Syracuse may find more contention recruiting in Connecticut.

The Orangemen currently have six players on their roster from Connecticut, including starting quarterback RJ Anderson.

Head coach Paul Pasqualoni coached for Southern Connecticut State and Western Connecticut from 1976-86 before joining the Orangemen.

"Syracuse has always had a great, great relationship with Connecticut," Pasqualoni, who grew up in Cheshire, Conn. said. "We're still recruiting (in Connecticut). (UConn is) going to recruit and they're going to try – that's the fun of it, it's competitive. Are they going to hurt us or are we going to hurt them? I don't know, but we'll both be recruiting."
