SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse has added another game to its 2016-17 schedule.
Former assistant under Jim Boeheim and current Eastern Michigan head coach Rob Murphy will bring his Eagles into the Carrier Dome on December 19, SU Athletics announced earlier today.
The Eagles went 18-15 last season, 9-9 in the MAC.
Murphy left Syracuse to become EMU's head coach in 2011. He won the MAC Coach of the Year in 2012 after winning the West Division. In 2013-14, Murphy led the Eagles to a 22-win season, which marks the highest in his career thus far.
He was an assistant at Syracuse from 2004-2011 after getting his first college assistant job at Kent State (2002-2004).
His overall record at EMU is 83-72.
