Tyler Provo will not play football for the Syracuse Orange this season, Syracuse Assistant Director of Athletic Communications Mike Morrison tells Scout. Provo was medically disqualified according to Morrison.
Provo was entering his redshirt junior season. He played sparingly in the 2014 and 2015 seasons, primarily on special teams, and did not accumulate any statistics. He is the brother of former Orange star Nick Provo, who is the program's career leader in receptions by a tight end.
Tyler was the first player to commit to Syracuse's 2013 class, and did not waiver despite a coaching change from Doug Marrone to Scott Shafer.
