Sherbrooke (Quebec) Champlain offensive lineman Patrick Davis has committed to Syracuse, a source tells CuseNation.com. Davis was visiting the Orange campus on Saturday as only Cuse Nation subscribers knew previously.
Davis camped at Syracuse on June 19th and caught the eye of the coaches during a dominating performance. He returned on Saturday to take an unofficial visit, get a better feel for the school and spend time with the coaches. Ultimately, Davis decided it was the right fit.
He chose Syracuse over offers from Buffalo and North Dakota State. Davis also camped at Rutgers.
Sometimes players from Canada have a hard time getting exposure, and that appears to be the case here. Davis is a versatile offensive line prospect who played center, guard and tackle in high school.
He is a tough, physical offensive linemen who plays with a great base and uses his hands very well. Davis is listed at 6-foot-5, 290-pounds.
