Syracuse Basketball Recruiting Trend Meter

CuseNation.com breaks down where Syracuse basketball is trending with their top recruiting targets.

The Syracuse Orange always recruit elite prospects and the 2017 class is no exception. With several roster spots available, the Orange are looking to put together a big and talented class that will be counted on to contribute right away.

TREND:

The Latest: Yes Mohamed Bamba is still wide open in his recruitment, but Syracuse still appears to be on the outside here. Unless they get him on campus, he is a long shot.

TREND:

The Latest: Diallo is one of the top players in the entire 2017 class. The five-star prospect has visited Syracuse multiple times and remains high on the Orange. Kentucky and Duke have both extended offers somewhat recently, making his recruitment more of a battle for SU.

TREND:

The Latest: Syracuse remains one of Green's top options. Duke and Kentucky offered this summer, which has clouded his recruitment a bit. Duke seems to be the biggest threat to the Orange, however. But he remains in regular contact with Syracuse assistant Gerry McNamara.

TREND:

The Latest: Walker will be a tough get for Syracuse, but the remain in the mix. Syracuse will try to get him on campus for an official visit, and go from there.

TREND:

The Latest: Richards visited Syracuse in June and remains high on the Orange. Syracuse is recruiting him as hard as anyone, and he may be their top low-post target in 2017. The trip, combined with their strong efforts recruiting him, puts Syracuse in a good spot for Richards moving forward.

TREND:

The Latest: Syracuse is in Randolph's top 12 and remain in the mix. Until he sets visits, however, it is hard to determine a pecking order. Villanova seems to be in a good spot with him.

TREND:

The Latest: Thompson seems to be favoring Oregon State, but Syracuse is still involved. Until they get him on campus, however, it's hard to see Thompson picking the Orange.

http://www.scout.com/player/182429-matt-coleman?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: Syracuse recently made Coleman's top 10, and that was before extending an offer. The Orange have a good relationship with Coleman, and assistant Adrian Autry is in contact regularly. The key is getting him on campus so the recruitment can take the next step. Texas may be the team to beat, but Syracuse has a shot if they make a push.

http://www.scout.com/player/193174-jordan-tucker?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: According to Scout's National Recruiting Analysts, Indiana seems to be trending with Tucker. Syracuse had been considered the favorite, but at a minimum, they are not the clear frontrunners right now. That said, he is still strongly considering the Orange.

http://www.scout.com/player/207905-alex-o-connell?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: O'Connell is one of the best shooters in the class and has set an official visit to Syracuse the weekend of September 16th. The football team will be playing South Florida that weekend, so it would be surprising if he attended. The Orange has recruited O'Connell very hard since offering during his unofficial visit. Louisville is their biggest threat.

http://www.scout.com/player/203262-isaiah-washington?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: Washington has a lot of interest in Syracuse, and the Orange remain in contact. No offer yet, however, which is why this is not trending up. Should Syracuse extend an offer and turn up the heat, the feeling is they could be one of the favorites to land the talented point guard.

http://www.scout.com/player/203659-bourama-sidibe?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: Sidibe is an intriguing prospect who's recruitment has started to pick up in recent months. Syracuse is in the mix, and may make a stronger push if they miss on Richards.

http://www.scout.com/player/194548-oshae-brissett?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: Brissett said he remains wide open as of a few weeks ago. That said, Syracuse is one of five schools that has been tracking him the most over the summer. He is still learning about the school and could visit sometime this season.
