Game by Game Predictions predicts every game of Syracuse football's 2016 season.

Syracuse football is entering a season that may be more about laying a foundation than wins and losses. Despite that, let's have some fun with predictions for every game on the schedule.

Week 1 vs Colgate: W 52-17 - Syracuse dominates from start to finish as the Dino Babers offense starts the new era with a bang.

Week 2 vs Louisville: W 27-24 - A close game, Syracuse makes enough plays behind a solid crowd to pull off an early upset, giving fans hope for the rest of the season.

Week 3 vs USF: W 34-31 - Another close one, Syracuse has just enough to hold on in a high scoring affair. This was a close game last season, and Syracuse has the home field advantage this time around.

Week 4 at UConn: L 27-21 - Syracuse loses their first road game under Dino Babers, falling to a Connecticut team that has a stellar defense. Head coach Bob Diaco has the Huskies headed in the right direction, and this will be a tough one for the Orange.

Week 5 vs Notre Dame: L 38-24 - Syracuse will keep this closer than most expect early on, but ultimately the superior Irish athletes will be the difference.

Week 6 at Wake Forest: W 34-21 - Syracuse has dominated the series against Wake since entering the ACC. That continues with a Syracuse squad that is more talented and explosive.

Week 7 vs Virginia Tech: W 38-34 - Another high scoring affair, Syracuse is able to hold off a tough Hokies squad as the Orange continue to get more comfortable within their new schemes.

Week 8 at Boston College: W 31-17 - Syracuse's offense will be too much for a solid Eagles defense. Boston College really struggles to score, giving the Orange an advantage. With the win, Syracuse is bowl eligible.

Week 9: Bye

Week 10 at Clemson: L 41-21 - The Tigers may be the best team in college football, and Syracuse is not ready to keep a game like this close.

Week 11 vs NC State: W 35-24 - The Wolfpack has lost a veteran quarterback and other key contributors. They have maybe as many question marks as Syracuse. With this one at home, Syracuse is able to control the line of scrimmage and earns a double digit victory.

Week 12 vs Florida State: L 38-31 - Syracuse keeps this one close and has fans thinking upset entering the fourth quarter, but the Seminoles are too much in the end.

Week 13 at Pittsburgh: L 27-24 - Another tight one, Syracuse falls on the road to a team with a strong defense that keeps the Orange offense in check.

FINAL RECORD: 7-5 (5-3)
