Syracuse Pursuing 2018 Garden State QB Devin Leary

One of the top quarterbacks in New Jersey in the 2018 class, Devin Leary, picked up an offer from Syracuse on Friday.

Syracuse is pursuing another quarterback from New Jersey, this one in the 2018 class. The Orange have a commitment from Tommy DeVito in 2017, and are looking to strike gold once again in 2018.

On Friday, Syracuse extended an offer to Sicklerville (N.J.) Timber Creek quarterback Devin Leary, his head coach tells Scout. The offer was handed out by assistant Mike Hart. Timber Creek head coach Rob Hinson said his signal caller was excited to pick up the offer.

Leary visited Syracuse back in February, and left impressed by what he saw.

"I really enjoyed my time there," Leary said after the trip. "I really liked the campus and the family surrounding their coaches, (and what they) preach about when you play football at Syracuse. I like everything coach Dino Babers is doing with the program and how he's merging together his past success in coaching to Syracuse."

Leary also holds offers from Boston College, Maryland, Rutgers, Temple and Wake Forest. He threw for six touchdowns in his game last week.
